Mastering Everyday Manners

Life Skills and Modern Manners Programs for K-12

More Than A Life Skill

Todays children are over scheduled, parents are exhausted and teachers are overwhelmed. Electronics have redefined conversation and meaningful personal connections. Mastering Everyday Manners is a modern manners program for students grades K-12. Manners are a choice and students must be taught that manners are more than rules. Research has shown that students with manners benefit socially, academically and emotionally.

Mastering Everyday Manners offers private and group instruction to schools. In addition to Fairfield and New Haven Counties, we also work with boarding schools throughout New England.

Conscious Conduct

Manners are a choice. At Mastering Everyday Manners we use an approach called Conscious Conduct. We teach students that they are responsible for their actions and words. Conscious Conduct is manners in action. A student has the power to shift their mindset.

Conscious Conduct is a holistic approach. It benefits students mentally and emotionally and gives them the confidence to live their lives authentically.

Mastering Everyday Manners programs are designed to give your student the tools to present the best version of themselves. We empower young people to make choices, to be accountable and take responsibility for their words and actions.

We offer Home Private Instruction & all programs are fully customizable to fit your needs!

Mastering Everyday Manners

Mastering Everyday Manners is a modern manners program to teach a timeless set of rules that can be used in all areas of their lives. Manners are more than a list of dos and don'ts - they show the world that you respect yourself and others. Manners promote civility, kindness and compassion. Children with manners are remembered and rewarded through opportunities.

At Mastering Everyday Manners we want every child to recognize the power of manners and make manners a lifelong habit.

“Don't worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you.”

— R. Fulgham, Author, Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

This program is interactive and customized based on students skills and age. Dining Etiquette is a MUST for students of all ages.

About Louise

My name is P. Louise McDonough and I started Mastering Everyday Manners to teach my daughter manners. Quickly I learned that manners are more than rules! Manners are about people and relationships. They show respect, empathy and integrity. They allow us to connect with others at a personal level. Manners are a life skill that is timeless. Everyday we have a choice to show our manners through our words and actions and present the best version of ourselves to the world.

With our programs students are taught the rules and benefits of manners, how to use them and why they matter. Manners are a choice and only make a difference when put in action. Through Conscious Conduct our students are confident, positive and memorable.
